ANNOUNCEMENT ON HECAS APPLICATION FOR JANUARY 2027 INTAKE FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2026/2027 TO LOCAL HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

BERAKAS - HECAS online application for January 2027 intake for Academic Session 2026/2027 to Higher Education Institutions i.e. Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) dan Politeknik Brunei (PB) will commence on Tuesday, 18^th August 2026 at 9:00 a.m. and will be closed on Wednesday, 09^th September 2026 at 3:00 p.m. The programme levels offered are Level 5 Diploma, Higher National Diploma and first-Degree programmes.

The HECAS online application is opened for holders of valid Brunei Darussalam issued identity cards i.e. yellow, purple or green. HECAS does not process the following applications:

1. Government servants applying for in-service training; and
2. Foreign applicants who do not have valid Brunei Darussalam issued identity cards.

Applicants are allowed to use their predicted results issued by their previous school/ institution to apply to UNISSA. They will receive a conditional offer upon meeting the entry requirement set by UNISSA.

Before the closing date of HECAS, applicants are required to:

1. Submit HECAS Online Form.
2. Settle overdue payments upon HECAS registration through BIBD Mobile Application or by cash at the payment counter located at:
1. Counter 8 (Cash and Revenue Unit), Ground Floor, Block C, One Stop Service Centre, Ministry of Education;
2. Nearest BIBD Branches with teller service in your district.
3. Fulfil requirements stated in the Institution Checklist.
